Low Altitude - Difficult - South Boulder Peak

Details
My favorite training hike in the Denver-Boulder area. The trail takes us through a multitude of terrains from gentle rolling prairie hills, lush forested streams, to the summit of the highest of the Boulder Peaks.
This is a tough hike that will move at a moderate pace based on trail conditions. It is still a 14er training hike so everyone is encouraged to bring everything that you would for a 14er (10 essentials - http://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/ten-essentials.html).
From ProTrails:
Round-Trip Length:6.7 Miles
Start-End Elevation:5,645'- 8,549' (8,549' max elevation)
Elevation Change:+2,904' net elevation gain (+3,039' total roundtrip elevation gain)
Skill Level: Strenuous
Parking is $5 per car unless your vehicle is registered in Boulder. To avoid this and decrease the congestion at this busy trailhead we have the option of car pooling from Westminster. Please post in the comments if you are interested in carpooling.
