Ellen Glasgow - Barren Ground

Southern author Ellen Glasgow's novel is set in impoverished rural Virginia and tells the story of a young woman who abandons love (after some pretty shabby treatment) to focus on agricultural success. You can't have it both ways, Glasgow would seem to suggest.. I'm still working my way through this one.

We will meet OUTDOORS at the Woodstock New Seasons. This is subject to change if weather or other factors present an issue. I'll be sure to update quickly as needed.
