Details
As the volume of data and number of applications moving to Apache Hadoop has increased, so has the need to secure that data and those applications. In this presentation, we’ll take a brief look at where Hadoop security is today and then look into the future to see where Hadoop security is headed. Along the way, we’ll visit new functionality such as transparent encryption in HDFS, securing data in transit and at rest, and new projects such as Apache Sentry (incubating). The talk will conclude with a demo of multiple aspects of the Cloudera security controls portfolio in the context of a BI tool.
The speaker will be Shravan (Sean) Pabba
