Sat Sri Akal! Join us for the first gathering of Bay Area Sikh Professionals.
Come straight from the office for a relaxed evening in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Shahi Darbar is an easy drive from Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, and San Jose. Meet fellow Sikh professionals, enjoy excellent Punjabi food, and help shape what this group becomes.
Whether you work in tech, healthcare, law, business, or anything else, and whether you’re new to the Bay or a longtime local, you’re welcome.

Sat Sri Akal! After our kickoff dinner, let’s get outside together.

We’ll walk the Stanford Dish loop, about 3.7 miles on a paved path with some steady hills and great views across the Bay. Then we’ll head to Namaste Indian Cuisine on California Ave for an early dinner. Join for the hike, the dinner, or both.

What to bring: Water, comfortable shoes, and a light layer. The trail has very little shade and can get windy at the top.

Parking: Spots on Stanford Ave are limited, and nearby streets are resident-only. Please carpool, or park near California Ave and share a ride to the trailhead.

Sat Sri Akal! Join us for an early weeknight dinner in Fremont, home to one of the Bay Area’s largest Sikh communities, with an optional Punjabi movie afterward. You’ll be home by about 9:30.

Whether you came to our kickoff or this is your first time, come meet fellow Sikh professionals over good food and easy conversation. House of Raha has a creative menu, from chaat and paneer to Indo-Chinese, with plenty of vegetarian options.

Sat Sri Akal! Let’s celebrate the winter solstice, the longest night of the year, with good food and a look at the stars.

We’ll start with dinner at Khana Peena Indian Cuisine in Oakland’s Rockridge neighborhood. Then we’ll head up to Chabot Space & Science Center for free public telescope viewing through their historic telescopes: planets, star clusters, and maybe the moon up close. Join for dinner, stargazing, or both.

🚆 Coming from SF? Rockridge BART is a short walk from dinner. We’ll carpool up to Chabot from there.

What to bring: A warm jacket, hat, and gloves. It gets cold in the Oakland hills after dark.

☁️ Cloud plan: Telescope viewing depends on the weather. We’ll post an update here by 2pm on Saturday. If it’s cloudy, dinner still goes ahead.
