London 20 & 30s Community | The Great Friendship Project

On Friday 7th November, we'll be hosting something a bit different to start our weekend of social fun... our latest BOOM Battle Bar activity night.

Yep that's right, we'll be heading back to BOOM Battle Bar in Aldgate to enjoy some of the best value activities you can do in London.

To start the night, we'll be meeting at a nearby pub to give you a chance to meet your fellow 20s and 30s.

We will then head over to the bar for an hour of adrenaline-fuelled Axe Throwing.

At the venue, we'll have our own dedicated host who'll help us train up your technique, so you can start smashing those bullseyes.

When the expert training is over, the host will then organise a fierce-but-friendly tournament, so you can put your new skills to the test against your new friends across a number of rounds.

After this, we will be splitting into smaller groups and competing in a your choice of Shuffleboard or Interactive Darts - depending on what takes your fancy.

Best of all - whilst this would cost over £40 at some venues, we’ve secured an amazing deal so this whole evening is just £15.95pp!

WHERE/WHEN

It’s that time again! With November here, we're hugely excited to be hosting our latest Social Pub Quiz, exclusively for 20s and 30s.

Yep that's right, every month we host latest our very special creative and quirky pub quiz in Central London, just for our community.

And as always, our crack team of quizmasters have concocted a range of entertaining and social quiz rounds, each designed to challenge your wit and intelligence with a range of fun and fascinating questions.

And we'll also be throwing in some fun team games designed to test your speed, creativity and teamwork - with previous quizzes featuring everything from crafty challenges, poetry duels to Marmalade Sandwich time trials!

Best of all, we have some amazing prizes up for grabs and so don't miss out on what promises to be a memorable afternoon of quizzing, socialising, and friendly competition.

Unfortunately as the pub can only fit a limited number of us in for the quiz and so as always, places will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.

WHERE/WHEN

We don’t do boring Wednesdays... and so on 12th November, to spice up your midweek, we’ll be heading to one of London’s most exciting new experiences.

Yep and for this one, we're off to Quiz Room, the high-tech, game show-style quiz that makes you feel like you’ve stepped straight into a TV studio.

We’ll kick things off at a nearby pub so you can grab a drink, meet your fellow recruits, and size up the competition before heading to the main event.

When we arrive at the venue, we'll be grouped into teams for a full game show experience - complete with buzzers, lights, music, and surprise twists across multiple rounds.

And over the evening, your scores will be tracked in real time with your team’s results flashing up on the leaderboard after every round - so you’ll know exactly who’s smashing it and who’s going home empty-handed.

And if you’re not ready for the fun to end, we’ll head back to the pub afterwards to share war stories and celebrate victories.

Best of all, whilst this would typically cost £25pp, we've managed to secure an incredible half price discount - meaning the night is just £12.50!

It should be an action-packed night of fast-paced competition but as always places are limited, so do nab your place while you can.

WHERE/WHEN

We will be starting the evening at The Alice at 7:15pm for social drinks before the experience.

However we'd kindly ask you arrive no later than 7:45pm, so that we can head over to the venue together and get checked in, ahead of the experience.

On Friday 14th November, The Great Friendship Project turns Four!

Yep that's right - four years ago, on a chilly Sunday afternoon in Hampstead Heath, twelve strangers showed up for our very first social walk.

Since then, we’ve hosted over 600 activities across London, from games nights and picnics to silent discos to help build friendships in a city, that doesn’t always make it easy to connect.

And to celebrate our 4th anniversary, and to coincide with World Kindness Day the day before, we’re marking the occasion with something a little different: our very first Great London Food Dash.

Inspired by the TV show "Supermarket Sweep", it’s a city-wide, fast-paced challenge where teams race across London to collect urgently needed items for local food banks.

Each team will be tasked with tracking down specific items requested by food banks, from toiletries and household essentials to tinned foods and dry goods - with every item carrying a points value based on its cost, weight and urgency.

To help you along the way, each team will have a shared fund, boosted by vouchers kindly donated by Sainsbury’s, which you'll be able by visiting pubs (aka Donation Checkpoints) and ordering a couple of drinks (inc. soft drinks) between your team to unlock them.

Each checkpoint will only have a limited number, so you'll be competing against other teams to get them and once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Over the evening, there’ll also be spontaneous speed challenges throughout the evening, offering bonus vouchers for teams quick (and creative) enough to complete them first.

And then when time’s up, we’ll all regroup at a pub to tally the scores, hand out prizes and raise a glass to four years of friendship and community.

It should be a really fun night and a lovely way to celebrate this milestone and so hopefully you can join us for this!

Whilst the event is free to attend, you are asked to bring a £5 donation to contribute to your team's present fund and so please do come with your cash donation on the day.
