We don’t do boring Wednesdays and so on 30th September, we’ve got something rather special in store - our very first Pickleball Night 🎾

Yep, that’s right... for one night only, we’ll be teaming up with Kensington Pickleball Club to give you the chance to try out one of the fastest growing sports in the world.

If you haven’t heard of it before, Pickleball is a brilliantly addictive racket sport that combines the best bits of tennis, badminton and table tennis 🏓

Played with lightweight balls and paddles, it’s more accessible than many other racket sports - relying less on pace and power and more on strategy, teamwork and clever shot placement.

And to bring you up-to speed, we've organised a private intro coaching session, just for our community 💛

Over the session, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the game, pick up insider tips and strategies, as well as take part in some gameplay to build your confidence.

Best of all, whilst a coaching session would easily set you back £25+, we’ve managed to secure an incredible deal so the whole evening will cost just £9.35pp 🙌

It’s a brilliant chance to try something new, meet people, and enjoy a sport that’s only going to get bigger!

WHERE/WHEN

To start the event, we will be meeting at a pub for social drinks from 6:45pm.

However, we'd ask you arrive no later than 7:15pm, so that we can head over to the venue together in time for the start of the experience.

On Friday 2nd October, we're hugely excited to be heading into the City of London for our very first "Alien Escape" Pub Race 👽

Yep, you read that right. Aliens have landed in London and after UK intelligence services briefly captured one, it somehow escaped.

Reports suggest it’s now hiding in a pub somewhere in the City, and authorities are calling on members of the public to help them track it down 🕵️

Working in teams, you’ll need to race from pub to pub across the City, following the alien’s approximate location on a live map.

As the tracker gradually narrows down the search area, you’ll need to race to find it before others - as the three teams to find the alien will earn a huge share of the reward bounty.

But there are a couple of plot twists… 🤫

To avoid blowing your cover or arousing suspicion, if you enter the wrong pub or bar, at least two members of your team must buy a drink before continuing your search.

And finding the alien isn’t your only mission - as there's also been strange sightings, intercepted transmissions and pieces of extraterrestrial technology have been reported across the City.

Along the way, you’ll complete classified field assignments - from decoding alien messages to gathering photographic evidence of the invasion 🚀

Each one you successfully complete will add to your team's bounty, so speed alone won’t guarantee victory.

And at the end of the race, we’ll gather at our final venue, count the scores and reward the night’s best alien hunters 🏆

It should be out of this world and an unforgettable night of Friday night fun - so hopefully see you there!

WHERE/WHEN

Autumn has arrived, and on Sunday 4th October... we’re making the most of the season’s changing colours with our latest Social Walk and Pub Trip 🍁

Yep and for this latest Sunday walk, we’ll be heading back to one of the most popular hiking spots in the capital, Hampstead Heath in North London 🌳

As always before heading off on the hike, you'll be allocated a group/team for an initial mix of fun and light-hearted games, designed to help you break the ice and get to know your fellow walkers a little better.

After the games and everyone is warmed up for walk, we’ll then set off on our 2-3 hour hike across the heath 🍂

Along the way, we will wander past the stately home, Kenwood House and the famous Parliament Hill viewing point overlooking London.

We will then cut through to Highgate Wood, exploring its winding woodland trails beneath a canopy of ancient oak, hornbeam and holly trees.

And of course, no walk before finally before ending up at a pub in Muswell Hill, where you can grab a drink or something to eat and continue chatting with the people you’ve met along the way 🍻

It should a fun and social Sunday afternoon - although always, we will be having to cap numbers for this event and so do make sure you nab your place as soon as you can!

WHERE/WHEN WE WILL MEET

For this latest Wednesday adventure, we’ll be heading to Omescape near the Southbank for an adrenaline-fuelled evening of fun.

As always, we’ll kick things off with social drinks at one of our favourite pubs to give you a chance to get to know the people you’ll be teaming up with before we head over to the experience.

If you haven’t been to Omescape before, it’s one of the few places in London where you can try your hand at an immersive Virtual Reality escape room.

If you haven’t tried one before, like a normal escape room - you and your team will hunt for clues, crack puzzles, complete challenges and race to complete your mission before the clock runs out ⏱️

The difference is that VR puts you right inside the mission.

And Omescape has a range of worlds from which to choose, whether you fancy escaping a haunted house, travelling through space or trying to break out of prison.

Best of all, whilst a night at Omescape VR would typically cost around £39 per person, we’ve secured an exclusive discount, bringing the whole evening down to just £22.85pp 💛

However, as always for these activity nights - places are very limited, though, and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
