London 20 & 30s Community | The Great Friendship Project

Another Sunday, and for our fortnightly Summer walk - we’ve lined up a stunning route through some of the best walking spots in Central London ☀️

Yep that's right, we'll be dusting off our hiking boots again and heading out on one of our favourite social walk routes through all three Royal Parks, Hyde Park, Green Park and St James Park 🌳

The event will start out by the Kensington Gardens Bandstand in Hyde Park and to kick things off - you'll be allocated a group/team for an initial mix of fun games.

These are designed to get people talking and help you to get to know some of the other participants on the walk a little better 💬

We’ll then set off on our 2-3 hour walk across London, we'll catch glimpses of some of the most famous landmarks of London, such as Buckingham Palace and Horseguards Parade.

And of course, no social walk would be complete without a trip to the pub to wrap up the afternoon and give you a chance to grab a drink, a bite to eat and get to know your fellow hikers a bit better 🍻

Owing to the size of the venue, we will be having to cap numbers for this event and so do make sure you nab your place as soon as you can!

WHERE/WHEN WE WILL MEET

We don’t do boring Wednesdays - so on 19th August, we’ll be heading into the fast lane to add some excitement to your working week 🔥

And for this latest midweek adventure, we’ll be getting in the driver's seat and heading to the F1 Arcade in St Pauls for a thrilling evening of social racing 🏎️ 🏁

To kick things off, we’ll meet at a nearby pub so you can grab a drink, get to know your fellow competitors before the main event of the evening.

If you've not been already, the F1 Arcade offers one of the most cutting-edge racing simulators around, complete with authentic-feeling seats, pedals and steering.

The experience aims to immerse drivers with a range of motion and audio-visual effects to recreate the experience of being a F1 driver.

Over the evening, you will have battle it out with your fellow 20s and 30s across 4 fast-paced races, with breaks to spectate and share experiences 🏆

And to keep the playing field as level as possible - there are different skill levels from Rookie to Elite, to match your driving experience and confidence.

Best all, whilst an evening at F1 Arcade could typically cost you as much as £25pp... we've managed to secure an exclusive discount - so this whole evening is just £11.35pp ❤️

WHERE/WHEN

We’ve booked out tables at the Saint Bow Lane pub beforehand from 7:30pm.

However we'd kindly ask you arrive no later than 7:55pm, so that we can head over to the venue together and get checked in, ahead of the experience.

Back by popular demand - on 21st August, we’ll be kicking off your weekend with our latest Friday Night Bowling Social 🎳

Yep that's right... we'll be heading back to one of the best value activities in the whole of London, Duckpin Bowling at Brewdog in Waterloo for another evening of bowling and social drinks.

If you've never heard of Duckpin Bowling, it is a variant of traditional bowling that's seen incredible growth of popularity over the last few years.

The rules of the game are very similar to standard bowling, with bowlers trying to knock down pins in the fewest rolls over 10 frames.

However, with lighter balls, shorter lanes and smaller pins, with Duckpin Bowling you'll need even more precision and skill to get a strike.

Best of all, it is one of the cheapest Bowling experiences in the whole of London at just £8.35pp ❤️

WHERE/WHEN

To start the night, we will be meeting nearby at the Thirsty Bear pub in Waterloo at 7:30pm to give you a chance to meet and with your fellow bowlers.

However, we'd kindly ask that you arrive no later than 8:10pm, so that we can head over together in time for the experience.

On Sunday 23rd August, we're hugely excited to be hosting our latest FREE Board Games Afternoon, exclusively for 20s and 30s.

Yep, that's right - we're back with another weekend games afternoon and we've booked out a big private space in central London.

If you've not been before - we’ve got a fantastic collection of some of the most popular games that you’ll be able to choose from.

From classics like Exploding Kittens and Codenames, social deduction games like Chameleon and Avalon, to party games like Dixit and Wavelength, you’re sure to find something you’ll love ❤️

And over the course of the afternoon, you'll be able to mix around, play a variety of different games, and meet lots of friendly new faces.

All of our games are designed to be quick to play, easy to learn and accessible - and you’re also very welcome to bring your own, as long as they fit the bill and work for groups of 6 or more!

Best of all, it's completely free to join us, so if you're looking to play some games, meet new people, and have a laugh, we'd love to have you join us.

Set up in November 2021, the project was set up to help young adults in their 20s and 30s meet, connect and hopefully build lifelong friendships.

To help make this happen, we also host all kinds of events from free social walks, games evenings, day trips, social events, activity nights to picnics.
