Tour de North Beach - Learn your hood

Hey everyone!

This event is much like our crawls with a twist! We'll focus a bit less on the drinking aspect and spend more time learning about the history of the neighborhood!

This event will familiarize you with the North Beach area. We will be checking out a total of 30 different bars in the area (while only stopping for a drink at a few) and will also share some historical facts about the neighborhood and community that exists in North Beach.

This is the first of many of these historical tours and we hope that everyone has the opportunity to learn a little about their community as well as find some awesome new drinking holes! The total walking distance of this event will be about 1.2mi and we will be traveling as a group for the duration of it.

Please note that this event isn't so much about drinking as it is about seeing and learning about new places and meeting new people! We will also be stopping for dinner halfway through the walk.

Keep in mind we don't grab a drink @ every location and how long we stay ranges from a quick walk-through to drinks and dinner depending on the bar's capacity and comfort. We will also be stopping several times throughout the walk to discuss historical details about the neighborhood.

Dress Code: Feel free to dress casually. We shouldn't be visiting any venues with a dress code but dress comfortable and don't forget to dress warm!

Parking: Parking in North Beach can be hell. I highly recommend taking a cab or public transit. If you want to drive, there is a lot near Green and Grant as well as some metered street parking around Grant. Please respect the signs and use ParkMe.com (http://parkme.com/) if you want to find more parking options.
