Park Exploration Series - 1st of 2026 - Buena Vista Park

Hey guys, this is a new series of events I'd like to attempt for 2026. There are so many cool little parks scattered all around SF and The Bay that I'd love to explore. Some are larger than others so the exploration of each will be a little different. For some, I'll be hosting a little potluck-like lunch or gathering just so we can play some games and familiar ourselves with the location. For others, we'll be just hiking/exploring the general areas and paths and probably finish things off with an optional lunch option.

To kick things off we'll be exploring Buena Vista Park which I feel is one o SF's best hidden gems. The park itself has tons of different amenities scattered throughout but does involve a decent amount of hill climbing.

Attire:
Please dress in sportswear and know that it's "winter" in SF so it'll be a bit chilly.

Weather:
If the weather is against us on this day I'll cancel/postpone the event accordingly. I'll do so within 48hr prior to the event so please come back to check the meetup prior to coming out!

Parking:
No easy way about this one. Parking in this area is super tough. There are some scattered spots along the park but it's difficult to find. I would highly recommend some sort of taxi to get to the meeting location.

What to Bring:
We'll have the option after to grab some food nearby but I'd suggest bringing some water and potentially a light snack!
