Such is the playground rhyme sung about Lenora Hope, the septuagenarian recluse of a Maine town. The gruesome murders took place 1929, but it's now 1983 and Kit McDeere is left to take care of Lenora, who is now mute and unable to care for herself due to poor health. Lenora communicates to Kit via an old type writer. One night, Lenora tells Kit that she wants to tell her everything that happened that night so long ago. Is Lenora telling the truth? And is she as harmless as she seems?
