August's Book Club

This month's book is The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner. In 1790's London, Nella owns an apothecary that helps women get out of bad situations with the men in their lives. When a 12 year old girls shows up, their budding friendship threatens everything Nella has worked for. In present day London, Caroline is spending her 10th wedding anniversary alone, researching. When she finds a vial that could be a clue to the "apothecary murders", her interest is piqued as an amateur historian. The lives of these three women collide, leaving more bodies in their wake.
