http://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/6/4/5/1/event_36445681.jpegSINCE IT IS NOW AUGUST, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR ONLINE BIRTHDAY DONATION AT WWW.BARACKOBAMA.COM (http://www.barackobama.com/) JUST PRINT OUT YOUR DONATION RECEIPT AND BRING IT TO THE PARTY 8/4! Donations of $25 or more will receive an Obama 2012 campaign button, $50 or more will get a "Barack In The Day" vintage high school photo button(while they last). $100 donation will enter you in a drawing to win a beautiful book of front page newspaper photos from all over the world of Election Day 2008! There will also be a life-sized cardboard cutout of Barack for all to take pictures with, and a dvd of Election Night in Grant Park will be playing on the flat screen.

Barack's 50th birthday is Aug 4(we already celebrate the 4th of July, now we have good reason to celebrate the 4th of August too!). We are especially proud because he is from Chicago, and therefore our "homeboy"! So let's do something special in his 'hood. We are having an official fundraiser bash at M Lounge 1520 S. Wabash. Reginald Marsh, the owner, is excited about it and will help promote it, have $5 drink specials and serve complimentary appetizers.

Minimum donation is $10, you can bring a printout of your recent online donation receipt(dated Aug 1st-4th, 2011). We will also provide donation forms with envelopes & stamps(.50 fee) and you can just bring your check or money order payable to Obama For America, or use a credit card. Or you pay a $10 minimum cover. You will receive a wristband that will allow you access to the refreshments.

You can be generous with your donation, up to $2500. C'mon, if you were really going to Obama's birthday party and giving him a gift, how much would you spend? $20? $50? $100 or more? Don't be cheap, this is OUR PREZ, and you've got time to save up. Getting him a 2nd term would be the best gift we could ever give him.

To get things started on your end, go to www.barackobama.com (http://www.barackobama.com/) and click on "Get Involved" and you can sign up to participate in many different ways. You can also join existing groups around the Chicago area. This would provide great networking opportunities as well. Start spreading the word, and invite all your friends. We will have fliers you can begin handing out.

Wear red, white & blue to look festive and patriotic, or wear Obama Tshirts or buttons to show support. You can get very cool Tshirts and buttons, etc. from www.DemocraticStuff.com (http://www.democraticstuff.com/) (I especially like the button of his high school photo, sportin' a 'fro, that says "Barack In The Day" ;D We can turn the party out and show all our pride & support!
