Full Moon Fire Jam (Rainbow Park Beach)

Details
#TeamLeo what's happening?! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets & snacks and come watch the fire dancers with me to kick off the month long celebration of all of us August babies.
The Jams are a part of the Chicago Park District's Night Out In the Parks free family friendly programming. Dozens of fire spinners perform to music provided by local percussionists, using performance tools such as poi (a set of chains with weighted ends), staffs, hula hoops and fans. It's a display that is part artistry and part athleticism, inspire by a long tradition of fire performance with roots in South Pacific cultures. Fire spinners include everyone from amateur hobbyists to professional performance artists and Chicago Jam performances usually come from the city, grater Chicagoland area and neighboring Great Lakes regions.
Bad weather? The Jams are not rain or shine. Whether cancellations are made the day of the Jam by 4pm via the Facebook Group.
When do we start: the Jam begins at sundown, check your local weather apps to confirm. I will arrive around 30m - 1 hour before sundown to attempt to reserve some seating. Be sure to bring your own chair/blanket.
As always, there is no alcohol, illegal substances, open flames, fireworks, flash photography, lasers or drones permitted.
