The Bud Billiken® Parade 🧑🏽🩰🧑🏾🩰 is a beloved Chicago tradition that has brought together generations of families through a shared commitment to education, youth, and community. Held at the close of summer, the parade celebrates students as they prepare to begin a new school year with excitement, inspiration, and pride.
The parade features marching bands, floats, dance teams, community organizations, and youth groups showcasing their talents and spirit.
Throughout its history, Bud Billiken® has welcomed distinguished guests including Oprah Winfrey, President Harry S. Truman, Duke Ellington, and President Barack Obama (then U.S. Senator).
Following the parade, families are invited to enjoy the Bud Billiken® Back-to-School Festival in Washington Park.

Parking 🅿️: Recommended to use Green Line to get to 43rd because it will be hard to get in with your car or Uber.
Meetup Location 🚏: 43rd Green Line Station, it’s literally a 2min walk from there to King Drive!
