Nelson Ferreira
Nelson Ferreira is a professional painter specialised in 15th century Primitive Flemish methodologies of Painting, as well as 19th century Academic drawing and painting techniques.
In the United Kingdom, he is a visiting lecturer for the National Portrait Gallery, Saatchi Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Chiswick Business Park (Paramount Pictures, Discovery Channel etc), Regent Street Crown Estates, Bank of America, Grosvenor Estates, amongst others.
In Portugal, he taught at The National Museum of Contemporary Art MNAC, National Museum of Ancient Art of Lisbon MNAA, the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon, and many other museums and fine arts universities.
He also teaches drawing and painting to Walt Disney artists (teams based in the USA, Canada and UK) through their studio Industrial Light & Magic (ILM).
His artworks are collected worldwide, with a special focus in Britain, Japan and the Middle East. He has been producing bespoke artworks, having being chosen by ‘British Interior Designer of the Decade’ Katharine Pooley. He is currently an artist in residency at The National Museum of Contemporary Art MNAC.
Jorge Moita
Since 2005, Jorge Moita created and developed a studio and an eco production system based in the Women ́s Jail of Tires, Portugal. The project gained immediate international recognition, giving birth to a range of high-end eco bags called La.Ga, developed in a low-tech environment, and making evidence of the challenges designers, companies and society can experience in the turn of the Century.
Jorge Moita worked for the “Federation Française du Prêt-a-Porter”, the Who ́s Next Paris and Premiere Classe Paris, the Gulbenkian Foundation, the Saint-Petersburg Hermitage Foundation, The Serralves Foundation, the Cultural Centre of Belem.
Among Jorge´s collaborations are partnerships with some designers and brands in the international scene, such as Marcel Wanders, and his MOOOI company with Selfridges, Issey Miyake, Making Things, “Marie de Puteaux Paris”, London, Swarovski for Bread & Butter, Nissan “Soporcel, Be Part of the Solution” ,the Damn Magazine Design Cork, as well as designers, artists and trendsetters like Peter Saville Associates, Joana Vasconcelos, Jaime Hayon, Brunno Jahara, Craig Feinberg, Musa DesignCollective, Benedita Feijó, Helena Almeida, Pieke Bergmans, Pierre FichéFeaux, to name a few.
