The UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) in partnership with UPTEC are delighted to invite you to attend our upcoming Masterclass and to hear about the UK´s thriving angel and VC investment ecosystem on the occasion of the first visit to Porto of HM Trade Commissioner, Chris Barton CMG.
This session will be delivered by the DBT's (Global Entrepreneur Programme), the flagship programme that supports the ambitions of global entrepreneurs who want to access the UKs world-class entrepreneurial ecosystem to accelerate their growth. Since its inception in 2005 they have helped over 1100 founders. In the last 4 years they supported 300 businesses and these companies have raised over £2.5 billion in VC funding and created over 10,000 jobs.
It will focus on raising investment in the UK with Blue Lake VC and DBT Global Entrepreneur Programme and will cover the pathways to Angel and VC investment as well as Grant Funding for R&D.
The session will be followed by bilateral meetings with the GEP Dealmakers, Olivia Sibony and Simon Sprince and also a discussion session with David Gilgur from Blue Lake VC.
This initiative is part of the Produtech Digital Innovation Hub, a Digital Innovation Network for industry whose mission is to foster the digital transformation of industrial companies in the region and stimulate the innovation ecosystem.
