BOULDER COUNTY COMMUTER CYCLISTS' POTLUCK & SOCIAL!

Details
NOTE: This is not our normal Monday evening time, but on a Saturday.
Karl's solar-powered, rain-collecting house is beautiful, and has lots of wonderful outdoor social space. Thus, the theme of this meetup: Sustainable Living
Join us for another Pedal Powered Potluck, at Karl Hanzel's beautiful solar-powered, rain-collecting house in the hills, to celebrate the almost-solstice. Karl is providing beverages and a hot grill. Please bring food to share, and your own re-usable dish and utensils.
2 pm Tour!: Given by Karl of his self-built home & it's sustainability features.
If for some reason you cannot make it until later than noon, don't be intimidated by Karl's address; it's only 2 miles from Broadway, doesn't involve any of the steep part of Lee Hill, and the new bike lanes on the lower part of Lee Hill should be done by then!
Tips for finding Karl's Home:
Navigate to Lee Hill Dr, in far north Boulder. Proceed westward to the 1 mile marker (which is marking 1 mile west of Broadway). That gets you in behind the hogback. Take the left / west right about there onto Wagonwheel Gap Rd, and proceed into the canyon (do not errantly climb further up Lee Hill or Olde Stage, unless you're feeling masochistic). At about 0.6 miles up Wagonwheel, look for the mailbox with "736" on the right / north side. So far, all of this has been an easy grade, entirely pedalable. From the mailbox, you can either come up the footpath that starts there, or try the shared drive which is just a bit further up the road. Either option is quite steep and about a couple hundred yards, but one can always walk it. Enjoy! Karl's phone number: 303-443-6602
