Lunch at Presidio Cocina Mexicana - New Location

Family owned and operated Presidio Cocina Mexican Food has opened a new location at 2024 N 7th Street in Phoenix, as they outgrew their original location on Thomas. They serve Michoacán-inspired Mexican homestyle cooking. The restaurant offers a menu of made-from-scratch dishes, most of them based on old family recipes refined by Nava's mother, Lucina, a native of the west-central Mexican state of Michoacán.
A friend and I recently checked out the lunch and were happy to find an open bright atmosphere, welcoming staff, and excellent food. We split some Guacamole & Chips, had Carne Asada Tacos, Cauliflower Tacos, and the Quesabirria Tacos (pictured below). They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day, so you have lots of options. I have included pictures below of the menu and the dishes we had.
