Community Project & Game Changer Camp @ Intel

Hi Hackers

One of our members, Chad Kellogg, reached out to me looking for some help on a Pro Bono project he is working on for the Market Street Prototyping Festival - which aims to transform Market Street into a public platform, showcasing exciting ideas for improving our famed civic spine and how we use it. You can find a link to the specific project here.

He is using servos and the Kinect to create a sensor actuated wall that connects people visually and gets them to engage with each other on Market Street. He is an architect with design background, and is looking for a helping hand from developers with knowledge of the Kinect's SDK.

If you guys can help, shoot him an email at [address removed]

Secondly, I wanted to let you guys know about an upcoming opportunity - Game Changer Camp. This is an invite-only game development event on Saturday, January 31st, hosted by Intel in Santa Clara.

We have some great speakers involved, such as Adam Bormann of 2K Games, Alfonzo Burton of Glu, Oliver Franzke of Double Fine, Dean Takahashi of VentureBeat, and Lydia Choy of OculusVR.

In the afternoon we will have breakout sessions where you will be able to show off your own projects and receive valuable feedback from our speakers. Intel will also be giving away some door swag and prizes throughout the event.

Game Changer will be a fun and innovative way to improve your game development skills and receive personal tips from our awesome panels of game experts! If you have a game on the market or are working on a current game project, please feel free to apply here! It's going to be a really exciting day :)

Cheers,

Silviu
