Starting September 2, Steven Whaley, a long-time member, will become the Organizer of this social group.

As for me, although I’m retiring as Organizer I’ll remain a member, but…

What a grand honor it has been to have met each of you. You have been one of God's greatest graces in my life, what a surprise this has been for me! Starting the group, my goal was to simply provide a way where folks can meet others and create friendships.

Some of the most humbling moments in my life has occurred within this group. Over these nine years, almost 60 people have taken me aside to share with me how this group helped them overcome pain of death, broken relationships, relocation or loneliness. These successes are due to you, the members, who welcomed so many people with ease and sincerity allowing them to relax and enjoy life once again.

Personally, this group did the same for me and now I have solid friends whom I know will always welcome me and many of those have become trusted friends. What more could be asked? I am honored by each of you.

The 40+ SOCIAL GROUP, officially started in October 2017.
