FAQs:

• What if it rains? The boat will sail rain or shine! The boat has two levels. Both levels have covered outdoor and heated areas (if needed).

• What times does yacht depart/return? Boarding 5:45pm, Sail 6:30pm. Yacht returns to Marina at 9:30pm. Please arrive early so you don't miss it.

• Where do I park? There is paid parking at the marina, or you can try to find parking on the street.

• What are the ages? Good mix of all ages 21 and over.

• Can I come alone? Yes, about 90% come on their own.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Finally, a party where you’ll meet others who are interested in the same things as you before you even say a word! Join up to 100 fun NYSN members and friends ages 45+ from several different social groups for this fun way to connect.
What to expect:

• We will have 6 different colored tags at the check in table. Each bracelet represents something that you are interested in (Green=outdoor activities, Red= singles events, Blue = arts/culture, Yellow =travel, etc.)
• You will choose up to 3 colors that best represent things that interest you.
• When you walk into the room you will immediately see others who share the same interests as you! (Starting a conversation could not be easier!)
• We will have several rounds of ice breakers that will connect you in even more ways.
• NYSN hosts on hand to welcome you and introduce you to others at the event.
• Up to 100 members and friends coming together to mix, mingle network and connect ages 45+
• Music played at conversational levels.
• Drink special until 9pm $2 off selected draft beers ($6), house red & white wine ($8), well drinks ($8)

Is this for singles? This is for anyone looking to connect with others. We will have one color dedicated to “singles” so you can see who the other singles are.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
Experience 3 of Brooklyn’s most famous attractions in a new way. We’ll be leading a fun group of members and friends from Manhattan to Brooklyn for a tasty afternoon of exploring & socializing.
How It Works:

• The group will meet on the Manhattan side of the bridge at 11am. Exact location will be sent after you register.
• We will walk from the west side to the east side (approx 1 mile).
• Along the way we will have some fun activities that will give you a little historical information about the bridge and surrounding area.
• When we finish our walk we will have a hot slice of pizza from the famous Grimaldi’s Pizzeria located under the bridge near Fulton Ferry Landing. Grimaldi’s is often regarded as the best pizza in NY.
• Following our pizza slice we’ll head down to the landing for a scoop from the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory while enjoying the NYC skyline.
• From there you can hang with newfound friends at the Fulton Ferry Landing where they have an outdoor bar and café.

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.
Dress code: Summer casual
Ages: Most of our events are advertised as 21+ For this event if you have a friend or family member younger than 21 that is no problem.
What if it rains? We will determine the safety of the event 12 hours prior to the start time and contact all with updates.
Refund Policy: This event is non-refundable unless canceled. If you test positive for Covid or any disease that would prevent you from attending we will give you a credit with proof of test results or a doctors note.
