Cost: $15 general members.
Governors Island is 172 acres of urban bliss with rolling hills and stunning views of New York City. Come meet new people and journey through dozens of unique historic buildings and outdoor spaces! Enjoy a special guided history tour of this urban oasis and As a bonus, the island will be hosting the Fad Market featuring 30 of the city’s emerging makers, designers, artists and small businesses. You’ll be able to see and shop handcrafted jewelry, art, apparel, bath and body care, tableware, home furnishings, artisanal packaged food and more.
How It Works:
The group will meet at the Battery Maritime Building located at 10 South Street at 10:15 AM and take the ferry over together. We have your ferry ticket! NO NEED to reserve on your own.
Come alone or with friends.
We’ll enjoy a guided history tour of the island checking out the old forts, historic sites and all the new experiences that have been added in the last few years.
At one point the group will stop to have a bite to eat at one of the dozens of cool food trucks in the picnic area.
Following the tour and lunch break you can explor more of the island and the Fad Market.
What if it rains?
Refunds will be given if the event is canceled due to rain.
Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.
Dress Code: Dress for the weather. You will be outside.
