Colorado Magento Meetup - The New B2B Module in Magento 2

The new year is here and it's time to rev up the Colorado Magento Meetup. To being 2018 we are going to take a deep dive into in the new Magento Business to Business module. We covered the B2B module brefily last year with the overview of the release of Magento 2.2. Now it's time to dig deep into this new feature. The module is packaged into and only available for Magento Enterprise (they are calling it Magento Commerce now). It's goal is to move the core functionality of Magento aggressively into the B2B market. When every Squarespace account can also be an eComerce shop, the next big push for Magento is to clear out the custom built B2B solutions of the past that have creaked their way into the modern, mobile first world and replace it with cutting edge business solutions. For years merchants have customized their Magento sites to have the features that B2B systems require, now those features are baked in. So lets take some time and explore them, what they do and what problems they solve. Because the module requires an Enterprise license, this meet up might be the first time people have seen these feature in the wild. This discussion will be a high level overview of functionality from the user and store owners perspective and a little sprinkling of implementation from a code perspective. Our goal is to give a solid understanding of the system and why this move in the B2B space is great for Magento and game changing for eComerce as a whole. We will also talk about other soltuions on the market and the pros and cons of each.

Fluid Coffee Bar has a meeting room in the back that we will be taking over. It's located on the corner of 19th and Pennsylvania, right outside of Downtown Denver. There is access into the space in the back of the shop, but it's you are coming late, there are doors on the outside of the space for direct access to the meeting room, you don't have to go through the coffee shop. Parking is all street parking, and in this area is a roll of the dice, but I have always been able to find plenty of spots. Take note of the street signs, almost all parking has a 2 hours limit, but the ends at 6pm. After that parking is unlimited all night long.
