About us

If you are over 45 and you are looking to extend your friend circle to include some more girl time, this is the right group for you. We will be meeting for drinks and chats and perhaps the odd dinner as well as for events like festivals, arts, or weekends away. We may even be meeting at each other’s places some times for a glass of wine and a movie. We will support each other in our endeavours by providing advice where we can and lending an ear.

This is strictly a women only group and you will need to be over 45 to be able to join. You will therefore need a current photo to be approved.

Every event will incur a £1.50 maintenance fee per person and meet-up will also charge you a small fee. This is a contribution to the running of the meet up group.

Please note that we will always leave at the announced time of the event and I am not monitoring messages on the day. Make sure you plan your journey early. If you are late and you have missed us, you will be considered a no-show.
No-shows and late cancellations will get you removed from the group for ticketed events. For non ticketed events we have a two strikes policy.

Covent Garden Puppet Festival

Calling all Punch and Judy fans. Join me for a day at the puppet festival in Covent Garden. This is an annual festival that takes place in the yard of St Paul’s church.

There will be music and folk dancing and small market stalls. There may be a chance for celebrity spotting, too, people as well as puppets.

It will be pretty crowded and I am therefore limiting attendance to 10 only. We may still not be able to all stay together but we will assess that on the day.

The event is free but the performers are asking for donations, please bring some change therefore just in case.

Because we only have 10 places available here, please only sign up if you are intending to attend. Remember that no-shows and late cancellations may result in you being removed from the group.

The Festival Website promises refreshments and I hope that means we can grab lunch while there because unfortunately, it is impossible to book a restaurant in that area that day. We will therefore have to wing it a little. If there are no food trucks, I am planning to go to the Transport Museum Café for lunch but we may not get a seat, so please feel free to bring a packed lunch/ snacks just in case.

The usual £1.50 non-refundable maintenance fee applies and meetup will charge £0.60 pn top of that. Participating in this event will be at your own risk.

Also, we will meet at Covent Garden Underground Station. I will be opposite the Station Exit with a meet-up sign. I am usually easy to spot as I am always early.

I know we are meeting really early, but please try to be on time as the event can get crowdy. I am going to move on from the meeting point at 12pm. You may not be able to find us once we are on thee move.

Also, please remember to change your RSVP at least 4 days before theis event to allows others to join. Late cancellations and no-Shows may get you removed from the group.
