About us
This is a group for those of us who accept who we are and like who we are - do things alone however would prefer to share some of our leisure time with like-minded. We are interesting and interested in so much...walking in the countryside, travel, week-end breaks, playing cards, theatre, opera, dining, visiting galleries, exhibitions, playing tennis perhaps, book club, art.......it would be good for members to come up with ideas that we can join in with...we're not necessarily 'grumpy old' but do not like loud music, gum chewing or bootcamps!
Please note that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken at a 45+ Not Grumpy event. If you do not want your photo/video published online, please notify the group leader of this.

Gentle Yoga & Meditation with Carmina – Online Session January 9 to March 27
·OnlineOnline☀️ A calm, supportive morning practice
“Yoga doesn’t have to be strong, fast or perfect to make you feel better.”
This gentle morning yoga class is created especially for people aged 45+ who want to move with kindness, care for their joints, and start the day feeling calmer, more open and more at ease in their bodies.
As our bodies change over time, we may experience stiffness, reduced mobility, joint sensitivity, hormonal changes, stress or fatigue. This class offers a safe, welcoming and supportive space to move gently, breathe deeply and reconnect with your body — without pressure or expectations.Starting January 9, this 11-week online session combines a blend of Hatha yoga (slow, aligned movement), Yin yoga (deep, nourishing stretches for joints and connective tissue), and Korean yoga (breathing, energy work and body awareness).
The focus is always on how you feel, not on how a pose looks.
The same class is offered twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, and you’re welcome to attend either one or both.
💰 Prices
- Drop-in class: £5
- 11-class package (Wednesdays or Fridays): £33
- 22-class package (Wednesdays + Fridays): £44

Come with me on an enjoyable and interesting walk from Bushey to Rickmansworth. called The Old Railway , The Canal & The Quaker walking distance 6 miles.

hot drink.{It is recommended you get the 10.39 am train from Euston Station, that arrives at Bushey at 10.56 am. }
After our hot drink, we will start our walk along the Ebury Way, which is a disused railway track between Watford and Rickmansworth, and was built by Lord Ebury in 1862 and carried passengers until 1951, and freight until it closed in 1981.
We will be walking along on the ebury way, where we will come off at Hampermill lake and stop for lunch. as there are no cafes { you need to bring your own} and there are no toilets but plenty of bushes.
After lunch we will return to the ebury way until the end and walk along the towpath of the Grand Union Canal to Rickmansworth.
In Rickmansworth we will go past the three rivers museum home off William Penn.
Our walk ends at The Pennsylvanian Pub {Wetherspoons} with Rickmansworth station being less than 10 minutes away where you can get on the Metropolitan Line.
