What is the plan?

Plovdiv is a cultural hub in Bulgaria and was the European Capital of Culture in 1999 and 2019. Bulgaria’s second-largest city and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, offers a rich blend of history, culture, and modern charm. Your local host Tina will show you places where most tourists don't go. We will stay at a four stars hotel central location with a swimming pool and by the river bank.

From Thracian ruins and Roman structures to Ottoman mosques and Bulgarian Renaissance architecture, Plovdiv is a living museum of civilisations stacked across millennia. The city was built on seven hills (like Rome). We will go up to Nebet Tepe for panoramic views and explore ancient ruins where the city’s history began.

Last but not least we will enjoy traditional Bulgarian cuisine with Mediterranean and Balkan influences. The Plovdiv region is also known for excellent local wines—don’t miss a wine tasting together.
