45+ South Bay Active Group

Our group DOES NOT CHARGE members when joining the group or any events. If you are asked to pay, it means you accidentally clicked on Meetup+ (which does charge). I am posting a link with instructions about what to do in such case,

Meetup does not pay us any money for any fees they charge to members. This group will not charge members for attending events.
DEAR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS,
The 45+ South Bay Active Group is about making friends in a safe and fun environment by participating in hikes, walks, live theater, happy hours, karaoke, museums, music in the park, dancing, games.…
If you are interested in becoming an Event Organizer or have an event in mind you would like us to put on the calendar, please let us know.

We remove members who have not participated in any events for two years, are constantly changing their RSVP, or have more than 4 "no shows."

Priority to attend many of our events will go to members who support this group by attending our events and by having good attendance record (members with no "no-shows" or members who don't change their RSVP often).
This priority is important when we host events at private homes or in places with limited capacity. In these cases, we place ALL members interested in attending the event in a "Waitlist." The Event Organizer will then move members in the Waitlist to the RSVP list depending on their participation and attendance history.

REQUIREMENT:
When joining this group, YOU MUST HAVE A RECENT AND CLOSE-UP PHOTO OF YOURSELF. NO PICTURES WITH CHILDREN. This requirement is for safety and to recognize our members.
