Tokyo University of the Arts’ annual festival Geisai is teaming up with the Ueno shopping streets for an unforgettable celebration.

### ✨ What to Expect

【MIKOSHI】
The mikoshi of Geisai are famous citywide!
Each department’s freshmen spend their entire summer building enormous, creative, and powerful mikoshi—true masterpieces of passion, sweat, and teamwork. Seeing them up close in the streets is absolutely breathtaking. Don’t miss the specially designed happi coats as well!
【SAMBA】
Just as iconic as the mikoshi is the Geidai Samba Parade.
With roots that even influenced Asakusa’s samba carnival, this tradition is full of rhythm, energy, and fiery passion from young Geidai students. Watch the exciting formations, the variety of percussion instruments, and let the music move you!
【¥1000 Raffle】
Local shops in Ueno join the fun too! During the festival, you can join the “¥1000 Raffle” while enjoying food, drinks, and shopping along the way. Win and celebrate big, or just enjoy the atmosphere either way—the spirit of Ueno never disappoints!
