Every time I visit international food festivals, I can’t help but notice the Jerk Chicken stands.
They always look so good that I finally decided:
👉 Let’s make it ourselves and eat plenty of it!
While researching Jamaican cuisine, I also discovered one of its most beloved celebration dishes:
Curry Goat.
It’s traditionally served at special occasions in Jamaica and made with goat meat — a rare and unique ingredient.
We’ll be sourcing the meat from a specialty shop and cooking this authentic dish together.

🍗 What is Jerk Chicken?
Jerk Chicken is a traditional Jamaican dish made by marinating chicken in a bold blend of spices and herbs, then grilling it slowly.
It’s known for its smoky aroma, spicy kick, and deep flavor.
📌 Note: The chicken needs to marinate overnight, so all preparation will be done in advance.
🍛 What is Curry Goat?
Curry Goat is one of Jamaica’s most iconic comfort and celebration dishes.
Goat meat is simmered with spices such as allspice and turmeric, along with herbs and vegetables like carrots and potatoes.
The result is a rich, aromatic curry with a unique depth of flavor — truly a special experience if you’ve never tried it before.

ものなのでこちらも挑戦!山羊の肉なのでかなり珍しいのですが、特殊な店で購入してきます
【ジャークチキンとは】
ジャークチキンは、カリブ海の島国ジャマイカの伝統的な郷土料理です。スパイスやハーブに漬け込んだ鶏肉をじっくりと焼き上げる、スパイシーで香ばしいグリルチキンです。
※ジャークチキンは一晩寝かせる必要があるので事前にこちらで準備します
【カリーゴートとは】
カリーゴート(Curry Goat)は、ヤギ肉(山羊肉)を使い、{{!オールスパイスや{{!ターメリックなどのスパイス、{{!ハーブと煮込んだ、ジャマイカ料理の代表的なごちそうカレーです。肉とニンジン、ジャガイモなどの野菜を使い、香辛料が効いた独特の風味と旨味が特徴で、お祝い事などで食べられる特別な料理とされています。
