Tech + Law = NewLaw

Welcome to Tech + Law = NewLaw
NewLaw can be defined as any model, process, or tool that represents a significantly different approach to the creation or provision of legal services than what the legal profession traditionally has employed.
We are seeing a new age of innovative and agile lawyers entering the workforce with an unorthodox view of their future. There are some that are opting to go virtual and extending novel rate and value structures to their clients. Then, there are others working with code to hack the law through self-executing contracts that minimise the need for lawyers. We want to explore how these forces, among others, are changing the legal landscape.
The founder of the Legal Technology Singapore Meetup and legal-tech startup, ZHIANT, Deepak Khemchandani is thrilled to be partnering with Gabriel Danon The, Co-founder of Asia Law Network, and General Assembly Singapore in driving this exciting conversation.
We hope to see you share in the good conversation, so come along and you will be made welcome. We thank you for your interest and please note that we reserve the right to refuse entry to our event.

Agenda + Discussion format
This is a meetup group discussion—a union of minds, so please be willing to contribute if you hope to gain something out of your attendance. Our collaborative group discussion exercise will involve legal and non-legal folk being provided with a series of scenarios and assumptions to evaluate and discuss.
Join us for an invigorating discussion as we attempt a deep-dive into disruptive legal technologies, a survey of new jobs for lawyers and who will be employing them.
6:30 – 7:30 PM – Check in and networking
7:30 – 9:00 PM – NewLaw Workshop
