MAKE MEMORABLE TRAVEL PHOTOS WITH HAROLD DAVIS

Many of us like to travel, and when we travel we bring our cameras. But no matter how unique and photogenic our destinations, many of the photos we bring home are pretty dull.

To change all that, Harold Davis, a renowned digital photographer and artist, returns for the GGCS September 22 General Meeting to share his spectacular imagery from many places around the world as well as "abroad at home."

He will provide tips on how to capture the thrills of a trip or memories of visits with friends, whether you're an advanced, intermediate, or novice digital camera user. He'll share the backstories about how many of his images were made and what was going on at the time of the exposure. Hint:If men in military uniforms come toward you pointing automatic weapons, stop photographing whatever it is that you are photographing and urn around slowly!

Have Dinner Before the Meeting: We're encouraging members and visitors to get together for dinner before the general meeting at the Sheraton's restaurant. Arrive around 5:45 pm and feel free to ask to join another's table or invite another to join your table. Before the General Meeting, between 6:00 and 7:00 PM in the same room as the the main meeting room, there is a free Introduction to Computing Class Ask at the reception table outside the meeting room for directions.

From 6:30 to 7:00 PM Door Prize raffle tickets are given out to members, memberships are renewed, etc. You can stand around talking to people who know lots and lots about computers.
