Learning about e-book publishing and Twitter with Suzanna Stinnett and Anne Hill

Details

Wonder how people connect their writing to readers? Authors Suzanna Stinnett and Anne Hill will spotlight digital publishing and ways to engage readers with Twitter.

Suzanna will discuss the first steps to take in publishing your own work, how to publish a Kindle and Nook ebook, and what authors do with an author platform.

Anne will follow up with an inside look at Twitter, a flexible, powerful tool for business and fun. Whether you’re an opera lover, sports fan, or newshound, Twitter can keep you better informed than any other news source, and it helps you talk directly to customers and readers. You’ll be ready to give Twitter a try and know what are the most important kinds of tweet. Current users will pick up great new tips.

Suzanna Stinnett published her first ebook in 1999. In 2007 she founded Bay Area Bloggers Society and continues to publish both fiction and nonfiction ebooks. Anne Hill, a consultant, author, and speaker, writes for Huffington Post, advises clients on social media strategy, teaches online and in person, and takes daily walks when reminded by her dog, Vince.

This is the monthly meeting of the Golden Gate Computer Society. Prior to the meeting is an Introduction to Computers at 6:00 pm (same room). This class will be on backing up your computer.
