About the Speakers: Corey and Jacob have been best friends for 20 + years. In March of 2015, they attended their first BRIC Meeting. Right after the meeting, in front of Binary Space, they decided that they would give real estate investing a shot. They bought 3 houses before May 1st, and were off to the races! Since then, they have completed over 50 projects from Corpus Christi to Oklahoma border, and many places in between.
Corey Thompson: Corey spent 15 years traveling the country while working in the oil field business...anywhere from drilling oil wells to managing multi-million dollar projects. He currently resides in his hometown of Groesbeck with his beautiful daughter. He'll soon take the stage to share his story about his first real estate purchase: A bank owned house sitting on 60 acres of land!
Jacob Gorrell: Also a native of Groesbeck, Jacob attended and graduated from Texas A&M in 2005 with a degree in Geography. He has worked in oil & gas exploration for the last 9 years, and currently resides in Katy, TX with his wife and brand new baby daughter. Jacob will also share his first experience with real estate: Purchasing a 1200 sq/ft 3/2 and renting out the other 2 bedrooms to roommates.
