Vilakazi Street, Hector Pieterson museum, Regina Mundi Church

Visit sites you have heard about often but have not seen yourself.

We will take the Reya Vaya bus and go to Valikazi Street (to visit Nelson Mandela's house and walk past Desmond Tutu's house), the Hector Pieterson Museum and the Regina Mundi Church - all locations of great historical value.
Valikazi Street has many nice restaurants where we can stop for lunch.

Travelling on the Reya Vaya bus you can meet other commuters who are usually all too willing to give you information about areas in Soweto if you show you are willing to communicate.

My friend Gail Wilson is very well informed about everything we will see that day and will accompany us.
Gail and I have done this tour several times and it was totally SAFE.

This will be an all day outing. We are going together as friends - this is not arranged by any organization.

COST: You pay your own personal expenses - parking, entrance fees to Nelson Mandela House and Hector Peterson museum, bus fare, lunch and anything else you like to buy.

Car pooling from Checkers at Leaping Frog shops at cnr William Nicol/Mulbarton. Meeting at 8.20 to leave no later than 8.30am.
