BACK BY MEMBER DEMAND! GUIDED TOUR: WW2 AIRCRAFT & SA BORDER WAR PARAPHERNALIA

Details

REPEATED - BY SPECIAL REQUEST!

PLEASE, THIS GUIDED TOUR WILL BE BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE ON THE STRENGTH OF MEMBER INTEREST (RSVPs). PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DIARY AND THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING....

For general history passionados, but especially for our members interested in World War 2 aircraft and SA / Angola Border War paraphernalia.

A well-informed Curator at the Military Museum in Saxonwold will take us on a guided tour of the aircraft and Border War exhibits and share interesting and often little-known information. I am unsure how long the tour will be, but from experience I know that these passionate people can often talk for as long as the group shows interest. I have allowed 3 hours for the entire event, though.

On this day there will also be the annual Arms Collectors Fair, where the following will be offered:
* SAAACA Member Exhibits
* A Classic Arms Auction
* Traders in Militaria and various Collectibles
* Military Reenactions
* A Variety of Food Stalls

About the Southern African Arms & Ammunition Collectors' Association:
The SAAACA is a non-profit organisation serving the interests of people passionate about arms, ammunition, militia and other collectibles. It has its roots in the Historical Firearms Society of South Africa whose inaugural meeting took place in 1958 in Cape Town. It has members in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Afterwards we normally go for lunch at the vibey Zoo Lake Bowling Club, where the food is good and well-priced, and the outside seating and atmosphere very relaxing. This is optional!
