#### Guided Hike/Program

The fascinating relationships between pollinators and flowering plants are diverse, intimate and not so different from ourselves. Join Naturalist Anita to discover the intimate relationships pollinators have with native plants in our region. You'll observe how the pollinators, plants, and animals (including ourselves) benefit from this relationship. This program is best suited for ages 10 yrs and older.

We'll hike along Horsetooth Falls Trail about 2 miles. This will be a slow paced hike in order to stop and discuss certain plants and pollinators. This activity is rated: moderate (slow pace, dirt surface, large rocks, some elevation gain). Pit toilets and potable water available at the trailhead. Challenges: rocky terrain, steep areas of the trail, little shade.

Program is free but day-use or annual parking permit and registration are required. Horsetooth Mountain Open Space charges a $10 day use fee; if you would like to explore Horsetooth Mountain Open Space without paying the fee, you can check out a Discover Pack from a local library or one of our offices: https://www.larimer.gov/naturalresources/discover-pack

Participants should bring: Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen) Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes (closed-toe recommended) Water Insect repellant Snacks Clothing appropriate for the weather Backpack (to carry it all)

Weather dependent.
