A gentle, hands-on introduction to Puppet

Details

presented by Software Freedom School

Puppet may be a system-administrator’s best friend, especially the system-administrator who is changing things every day. Puppet manages all sorts of system settings on Linux and Windows from installed packages to scheduled jobs to firewall settings and users.

Whether you have 9 or 999 servers, Puppet can help you manage them. We can help you learn how to use Puppet.

If you want to learn it yourself, go to the Puppet Labs Learning Puppet page or buy a nice book on the subject.

But maybe you’d rather learn a bit from an experienced teacher and maintainer of Puppet modules first. Maybe you’d rather hear the stories of Puppet coding gone wrong, rather than experiencing them directly… :-)
