Tinker Hour with Inherent Games

Join us for an evening of tinkering with Inherent Games and playing with NanoNano, a fun, addictive gameplay to learn languages.

NanoNano allows the player to learn Spanish or English through a novel mix of Tetris, Candy Crush, and comic books, the player can engage with words, grammatical categories, and conversations.

Our technique takes advantage of embodied cognition, the fact that processing language involves the activation of the motor cortex responsible for performing physical actions. The player may also use augmented reality for an immersive experience in his/her immediate environment.

We are a Boulder-based startup that’s passionate about producing language-learning games that are driven by cutting-edge research in Linguistics and Cognitive Science. A team of doctoral students, crack programmers, and language enthusiasts, we aim to create a new wave of game-powered learning that shakes the foundation of modern language instruction.
