Redressing The Crises of Ignorance @ Comprehensivist Wednesdays

Details
We will explore four proposed crises of ignorance each of which adds to our understanding of how and why we ought to foster our comprehensivity, our inclination to comprehend our worlds broadly and deeply.
The event will deeply explore Buckminster Fuller's essay "The Wellspring of Reality": http://www.rwgrayprojects.com/synergetics/intro/well.html
In addition to reading Bucky's essay closely, it would help participants to familiarize themselves with the ideas we will explore by reading my essay on the subject: https://www.cjfearnley.com/CfC/2021/06/redressing-the-crises-of-ignorance/
Two other harder to find Bucky essays will also be discussed:
● Education Automation (this long essay / short book has been published in book form multiple times so used copies are available; you can also find it in the 2010 anthology "Education Automation: Comprehensive Learning for Emergent Humanity")
● "Mistake Mystique" (this short essay is also included in the 2010 anthology)
Finally, we will also reference the exquisite short 2012 book by Stuart Firestein: "Ignorance: How It Drives Science".
Welcome to the series "Comprehensivist Wednesdays". Transdisciplinarity, Renaissance humanism, homo universalis, and Polymathy are some of the ways of describing this approach which Buckminster Fuller called Comprehensivity and described as “macro-comprehensive and micro-incisive”.
