Lessons from cf.Objective() 2013 - How to Become a Better Developer

Details

Sean Corfield and Nolan Erck both attended the cf.Objective conference in Minnesota (May 16-18). Sean delivered three presentations (overachiever!!!), two of which he live-rehearsed with our group in March and April. They both attended a large number of sessions. There were a lot of technologies covered at the conference that are complementary to ColdFusion development, and can make a ColdFusion developer more effective.

Sean and Nolan will share what they learned at the conference, including some of the exciting JavaScript topics that were presented. This will be a panel discussion, so we can all pick their brains. Both Sean and Nolan wrote blog posts that wrapped up the sessions they attended (see Sean's (http://corfield.org/blog/post.cfm/cf-objective-2013-what-i-learned) and Nolan's (http://www.southofshasta.com/blog/index.cfm/2013/5/19/CFObjective-Recap) posts), so those are the topics we'll focus on.

This is where you come in. Based on the discussions, we want to know which topics you find most interesting or exciting - we'll organize future meetings to explore those topics in more depth. Here's your opportunity to steer the content of future BACFUG meetings!

Also, we'll be having our semi-annual prize raffle: one year of Creative Cloud membership!

Food and beverages will be provided.

We'll be meeting in Town Hall instead of the Kojak conference room, so the more the merrier! Please RSVP as soon as you can as the security for Town Hall is a bit more stringent than we normally have to deal with.
