Need no introduction to this rusty beauty and simplicity of a bygone era in the 60s.
The island still retains it's charm.
We will go East to Chek Jawa wetlands, coastal forest,rocky beaches and a mangrove swamp and criss cross on to the West to Puaka Hill a 75 metre ascend to take in a panorama view of a forgotten quarry, ketam quarry.
Return to Ubin ferry terminal.
To get to Changi point Ferry Terminal:
- Take a train to Tanah Merah Mrt, exit B to the bus stop to take bus No 2. Ride all the way to the end at Changi Village Bus Terminal.
- Take a train to Tampines East Mrt, exit B to bus stop to take bus No 59 and ride all the way to Changi Village Bus Terminal.
Meet at entrance of the Ferry Terminus.
Have a hearty breakfast. Bring snacks or take away from Changi Food Village in case go hungry. Nasi lemak is popular at the market.
We will have a break at Chek Jawa and have your snacks/meals if you have tapau.
Have ready $8 for your to and fro bumboat ride.
Return to Ubin ferry terminal.
Walking distance: 14-15 km
Duration: 4-5 hrs
Easy to Moderate walk.
