Come to the BeMyApp Factory Hackathon March 28-30 in SF and build a prototype of a connected object with your team. We will provide components and tools, but BYOH too. Entire hackathon is free.
COMPONENTS AVAILABLE • Breadboard • Jumper wires • Momentary Push Button Switch • LED Mixed Bag• Digital Temp Sensor Breakout • Tilt Sensor • N-Channel • Thin Speaker • Schottky Diode • Motor • Arduino Mini • Arduino ProtoShield Kit • Thermistor • Resistor 10K Ohm 1/6th Watt
We will also have other sensors and beacons available for those that need them. Anyone who wants to use an Imp and April board for their project can get one too :)
TOOLS AVAILABLE • Oscilloscope • Voltmeters• Soldering Stations • Assorted hand tools including: tweezers, pliers, wire cutters, multimeters • Logic Analyzer • Wire Strippers • Dremel
If you have any tools, we highly suggest that you bring them. Fictiv will provide a credit to each of the 15 teams to print a 3D part approx. 8"x8"x6". FDM printers using PLA or ABS material. Orders placed Friday evening could arrive sometime on Saturday depending on the size of object and the time needed to print it. Orders placed on Saturday could arrive on Sunday.
All teams will be required to register on hackster.io and add their project to the BeMyApp Factory page. You’ll need to list the components and project description/info to help the judges make their decision.
PRIZES
The winners will get consulting sessions with 219 Design, prototyping help from MEMA Engineering, a consulting session with Bedrock (a law firm for startups), tickets to O’Reilly Solid Conference in May, a fully funded product video by BeMyApp, as well as help with project management, media and buzz from the BeMyApp Crew. You will retain all ownership over the product. Not BeMyApp’s style to do anything different.
