We are going to put native up against web apps (Phonegap, Monotouch, HTML5/CSS3) and see how they stack up. Below is a list of the presenters and panelists that will be walking us through the advantages of each approach and showing some code. It's going to be a great event and we hope you can make it!

Jesse Demmel (https://twitter.com/#!/jdemmel) - Representing Native

I lead engineering at MapMyFitness. I've been developing on phones or around them my entire career. I was fortunate/unfortunate enough to develop apps in BREW and J2ME. More recently, I've worked in BlackBerry, iOS and Android. Sadly, most recently, IDEs have been taken away from me and I must steal my moments to hack secretly.

Michael Dick (http://cmdspace.com/#/home) - Representing Web

As a passionate UX designer & engineer, Michael has experience working with both Native and Mobile web apps. His work has been published across multiple mediums, including inspirational books and magazines. Michael has also had the opportunity to work with great household brands such as Apple, Samsung and NFL on some of their mobile campaigns.

Doug was most recently co-founder and CTO at Whobet, Inc., a social gaming website that allows users to bet virtual currency on anything with their friends. Prior to WhoBet, Doug worked as Associate Technical Director at Crispin, Porter + Bogusky where he won numerous awards for the Burger King corporate website and campaign websites. While at CP+B, Doug was also the technical lead on Microsoft's "I'm a PC" interactive campaign and Vail's "EpicMix" website and mobile applications.

Doug started his professional career at Cambridge Technology Partners in 1995, then served as Director of Internet Operations at DataPlay in 2000 where he co-invented ContentKey technology, a DRM solution for DataPlay's quarter-sized optical disc. DataPlay won the best in show award at the 2001 Consumer Electronics Show.
