Open Heart Surgery: Live and in-person.

Let’s learn about heart health. We will be present and witness an actual, real live open heart surgery in progress.
We will be just feet from the operating table, observing the surgical team save the life of an actual patient.
Past procedures have involved a coronary artery bypass surgery, during which the doctors graft the saphenous vein from the leg onto the coronary artery.
Our Nurse-leader will explain what the surgeons are doing, step by step. We will observe AND listen to the surgical team as they work their magic.
We will meet our Nurse-leader at 7:15 am for administrative formalities. Exact location and other information will be provided by August 14th, 2026.
