About us
In the modern world, we have built an environment where thinking across disciplines is punished, but being hyper-specialised and ignorant in everything else is rewarded.
Knowledge is divided into narrow disciplines, yet the most interesting questions about life, society and human nature rarely belong to just one field.
Crossroads at Linden is a small gathering for people willing to engage in conversations about ideas that cross boundaries:
Philosophy, natural sciences, history, and human nature.
Each meeting shall begin with a simple question or idea, after which we are free to wander between disciplines.
This is a place to slow down, think deeply and explore what it means to be human in the modern world.
The meeting will be held early-late evening, usually starting 7 pm and the reason for this is pretty simple, Is that you gather at the end of the day, after hours of the day, when you are laid back, your brain is free from any appointments or schedules, and you are in a good state to indulge in deep conversation.
(The focus will be historical, scientific and philosophical discussion rather than contemporary political debate)
The discussion will be in english
