February Book Vibes: "James" by Percival Everett

Loosely based on Mark Twain's book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, this story follows Jim, an escaped slave, as he travels with young Huck. The narrative is told from Jim's perspective as they journey down the Mississippi River. Eventually, they separate, allowing us to see what happens to Jim as he seeks his freedom.
