CVE Harvesting in the Wild w/ kimb3r

Details
Vulnerabilities with industry-specific names like “Patient Record System” or “Inventory Manager” are showing up in threat feeds but many are tied to obscure, hastily published open-source projects with questionable real-world use. Despite that, they often receive CVE IDs quickly and can skew risk assessments.
kimber will give us a look at how these strange CVEs impact security teams, threat intel pipelines, and defenders across industries.
Doors open at 6pm.
---
Every Thursday night, the local DEF CON group DC801 hangs out at the 801Labs hackerspace for people to come work on projects, help others with projects, and get to know some of the others in the area. These events are open to the public.
If you are new and do not see a lot of RSVPs, be aware that most people that show up do not RSVP. There will be people nearly every Thursday.
