The Basics of Tool, Take 2!

Class Concept
The concept behind The Basics of Tools Take 2 class is to make women feel more conformable in the hardware store, familiarize them with the essential tools one should have in the home, and gain confidence by creating a project by hand with the support of the JOATO team.

Class Description
This class will include demonstrations, hands-on building of a multipurpose wooden stand. (Is it a cookbook holder? An iPad stand? Or a record display? You get to decide!) Each participant will complete a handmade stand to take home at the end of the class.

Concepts and tools covered in this class will include using a miter saw, white washing, sanding, as well as nail gun, hammer and finishing nails. The class will also cover how to patch and repair drywall. (If you happened to miss our first class on the Basics of Tools, an anchoring demonstration will also be available).

*Please note this class is held outdoors, mainly under tents. Closed toe shoes are required. Age 18+.

** Parking is available just across the street in the City of Winter Park parking lot as well as long the street. Please help us keep the Miller's Hardware parking lot clear.
