I was just out backpacking on the Sespe Creek Trail (from the Piedra Blanca Trailhead) and thought how nice of a trail run it would be. It's a very well maintained trail, and starts out slow but builds to some rollers. The area is also beautiful.

Tentatively, let's plan for a 6.5 mile run out to Oak Flat, maybe a quick dip in the river or refuel there, and then run back. It's an out and back with great stopping points both closer and further, so this can be easily changed. (Clarification: That's 6.5 miles each way, 13ish total).

A couple of notes:
-It can get pretty warm out there on clear days. Everyone should carry water on them, and I'll carry a water filter on me for refilling (and if we end up getting enough people for two pace groups, I'll bring a second).
-An Adventure Pass is needed to park at the Piedra Blanca Trailhead. This means it makes more sense to carpool from an Ojai Park & Ride. A day pass costs $5 (sold at the Ojai USFS station or at the Meiner Oaks Shell, I can pick one up on the way in). I've got a yearly so that's one car taken care of at least.
