This workshop/talk will cover the different components of the crypto (web3) tech stack and the current state of the art using the Ethereum blockchain.

In this workshop/talk, we'll:

• Explore some data on the blockchain visually.
• Hear a few arguments for why this tech/movement matters.
• Try out a couple of particularly useful dapps (decentralized apps) together.
• Receive an introduction to the concept of gas.
• Learn about good practices for reading and writing data, indexing data, etc.

SPEAKER:

Paul is a software engineer, engineering leader, and entrepreneur. He specializes in blockchain and crypto - Ethereum, to be specific. As a freelancer, he worked on the OpenZeppelin 2.0 smart contract audit as well as a few other audits, did some smart contract development work for Dharma, and built the front end for a MetaCartel project. He is building an open-source project called Tasit for building native mobile Ethereum dapps - this project is funded in part through the Gnosis GECO program. Previously, he was the first employee and CTO at a YC-backed B2C mobile-first IoT startup, Edyn.
