What we’re about
Originally set up by Firedoor Theatre, Dublin Acting Workshops continued with Emma Brennan and now Jennifer Breslin with The Disciplined Actor.
There will be an array of acting workshops online (on zoom) to in person training workshops.
We cover all from career to creative endeavours with goal setting workshops, accountability for actors and career guidance along with in person training and creativity that takes you through warmups, improv and all acting techniques and scene study.

This is a place for Actors to workout
Drop in each week or call in when you can
Each week actors bring in what they like to work on. We have warmups, improv and a rotating Technique each week from Meisner to Method and then individual scenes and monologues.
So far we have covered Alexander Technique, Shakespeare Scansion, Meiser, Uta Hagen, Stanislavski, Second Circle, Stella Adler and a variety of long and short form improv exercises.

Technique 15-30min
Monologues & Scenes with or without audience feedback 1-2hrsFeel free to bring in something rehearsed or cold or just sit and watch - monologues, scenes, stand up, poetry, Shakespeare, original scripts, etc all welcomed. Bring something in once or several times - whatever you need as an actor.
This is a place to have fun, get creative, try out new things, strengthen your stage presence, imagination and confidence as an actor
If you're a writer and want to hear your script read aloud by actors feel free to call in and have your script read.
Use promo code WRITERIf you're just starting out in acting feel free to come along. We start off each workshop slow and easy and build from there. All the exercises are guided, you'll learn a lot without feeling intimidated. Feel free to bring in a performance or pick up something in class to try out on the spot or just sit and watch. All feedback is optional and adjusted to each personal's level. Beginner to Professional will feel welcomed and honed at their own level.
For actors who want to be on their feet, working their craft, sharpening their skills, and performing regularly in-between gigs, auditions and classes
